China was one of the first countries to recognize the Palestine Liberation Organization and the State of Palestine. Xi Jinping emphasized that the Palestine issue has been delayed for more than half a century and has brought great suffering to the Palestinian people, and justice must be returned to Palestine as soon as possible. First, the fundamental solution to the Palestinian issue lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Second, the needs of the Palestinian economy and people’s livelihood should be guaranteed, and the international community should increase development assistance and humanitarian assistance to Palestine. Third, we must adhere to the correct direction of peace talks. Xi Jinping emphasized that in the face of the century-old changes in the world and the new changes in the Middle East, China is willing to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with Palestine and other developing countries, strengthen cooperation in international and regional affairs, promote China-Arab collective cooperation, and safeguard the common interests of developing countries and the international community.
