Xi Jinping pointed out that in order to catch up and surpass, Shaanxi must make new breakthroughs in strengthening scientific and technological innovation and building a modern industrial system. Based on our own industrial base and resource endowment, we must insist on focusing our development efforts on the real economy. While consolidating our leading position in traditional advantageous industries, we must have the courage to open up new fields and new tracks, and cultivate new competitive advantages. Strengthen the protection of water sources in the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project to ensure that “a stream of clear water continues to flow northward”. Xi Jinping emphasized that the museum has many precious cultural relics and even “national treasures”. The study of civilization history is in-depth. Yuncheng Salt Lake has a mining history of more than 4,600 years and so has profound cultural heritage and important historical value. In recent years, the local area has insisted on giving priority to protection and green development, implemented the “return of salt to the lake”, stopped all industrial production within the protection area of the salt lake, and promoted industrial transformation and upgrading according to local conditions. Xi Jinping listened to relevant briefings based on display panels and exhibits, and inspected the landscape of Salt Lake on the spot. He pointed out that the ecological value and function of the Salt Lake are becoming more and more important. It is necessary to coordinate the protection and utilization work so that the unique cultural and historical resources and ecological resources of the Salt Lake can be passed on from generation to generation, gradually restore its ecological function, and better protect its historical and cultural value. He emphasized that the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin is a major strategic decision made by the Party Central Committee from the perspective of the sustainable development of the Chinese nation and Chinese civilization. The baseline of quality development is not conducive to the ecological protection of the Yellow River Basin, and we must not do it.
